Delores D. Brunsman, 77, of Dundee died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester by Father Richard Gaul. Family will greet friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Manchester, with a 2:00 p.m. Scripture Service.
Additional visitation, one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Burial: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
Delores was born December 9, 1932 in Dundee, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Ahrens) Theel. She graduated from Dundee Consolidated High School in 1950. On October 6, 1953, Delores was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” F. Brunsman at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Delores worked in the Recorder’s Office at the Delaware County Courthouse, retiring in 1952. The couple farmed north of Earlville until moving to their farm north of Dundee in 1961. She enjoyed time with her family and playing cards.
Delores was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester.
Delores is survived by her husband, Hank Brunsman of Dundee; two sons, Lynn H. (Karen) Brunsman of Dundee and Larry J. (Kathy) Brunsman of Manchester; five grandchildren, Amanda, Nick (Jayden), Angie (Terrill), Chad (Jen) and April (Greg) and one great-granddaughter, Ryley; in-laws Bill Brunsman, John (Karen) Brunsman, Mary Davis, and Susan (Bob) Luensmann.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Theel and an infant sister, Maritta Theel, sister Vivian Pogue, and in-laws Glen Pogue, Leola Brunsman, and Neil Davis.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
