DeLain E. Fortman, 72, of Manchester, died, Friday, October 5, 2012 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manchester. Visitation will be 3 pm. to 7 pm., Monday, October 8, 2012 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester with a 7 pm. Scripture Service, additional visitation will be one hour prior to the mass on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Greeley.
DeLain was born December 13, 1939 the daughter of Albert J. and Emma J. (Scherbring) Fortman in Manchester
Delain was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and fishing.
Survivors include her siblings; Omer (Lois) Fortman, Helen Wulfekuhle, Francis (Mary) Fortman, Lillian (James) Nefzger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rachel, a brother, Lillus; a brother in-law, Floyd Wulfekuhle; nephew, Terry Dean.
