Debra Kay Ament Hoffpauir, 51, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde; her father, Ron; her son, Justin (Jennifer) Ament of Cedar Rapids; seven step-children, Joe Gluba III and Gabe Gluba, both of Cedar Rapids, and C.J., Jason, Christina, Katie, and Alex Hoffpauir; two brothers, Steve Petsel of LeClaire and Andy Petsel of Rye, New Hampshire; her mother-in-law, Kay Walton of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Leona Ament; ten step-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters in-law, Joe (Denise) Hoffpauir of Cedar Rapids, Tim (Tanya) Hoffpauir of Arkansas, and Tim (Joanna) Sekavec of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Petsel.
Debra was born August 17, 1959, the daughter of Ron and Betty (Finn) Petsel in Cedar Rapids. On March 3, 2005, she married Clyde R. Hoffpauir.
Debra was a high spirited person and a beautiful woman.
