Debra Catherine Burkle, 50, of Earlville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, at her home. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville, Iowa with a scripture service at 7p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Earlville. Burial: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Earlville.
Survivors include her husband, Randy; parents, Eldon and Catherine Heims of Manchester; children, Troy Burkle of Dyersville, Brad Burkle of Worthington and Becki (Adam) Nylund of Manchester; granddaughter, Olivia Nylund; siblings, Ralph Heims of Manchester, Duane (Karlyn) Heims of Manchester, Melvin (Mary) Heims of Dyersville, Gina (Mike) Reth of Manchester, Joyce (Greg) Harris of Dubuque, Gerene (Ed) Gibbs of Earlville, Iowa and Dale (Michelle) Heims of Delhi, Iowa; father and mother-in-law, Jerry (Roseann) Burkle of Dyersville; brother and sister in-laws, Jean (Wayne) Naber of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Rick (Danna) Burkle of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Judy (Dan) Gotto of Bankston, Paul Burkle of Bettendorf and Joe (Julie) Burkle of Urbandale. Also many nieces and nephews.
Debra was born on January 30, 1966, in Manchester, Iowa, daughter of Eldon and Catherine Heims. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School and Hamilton Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Raybach Management and for Gosling and Company. On May 22, 2004, Randy and Debra were united in marriage in Delhi, Iowa. Debra enjoyed antique shopping, fishing, attempting crafts with her sisters and nieces and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
