Deborah Lynn Morrissey, 64, of Coggon, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, from a brief illness, at her home. Celebration of Life: 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; daughters, Renee (Jeremy) McKee of Walker, Iowa and Jamie (Ben) Fiedler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Jillian and Justin McKee; sisters, Beverlee (Bob) Preuss of Independence, Iowa and Jackie (Bebe) Carpenter of Independence, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois; and brothers, Ronnie and Yale.
Deborah was born on March 18, 1952, in Manchester, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Mary (Flannagan) Falconer. She was a graduate of Coggon High School. On April 24, 1976, Deborah married Steven Allen Morrissey at Silver Creek. Deborah worked at Rockwell Collins for over 30 years, where she retired from in 2014.She enjoyed tending to her home and yard, her garden and flowers, traveling to Michigan with her sisters and spending weekends in Prairie du Chien. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Iowa Hawkeye’s basketball fan. Deborah especially loved spending time with her girls and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Deborah’s memory.
