Deborah “Deb” Lofquist, 63, of Toddville, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at Toddville Free Methodist Church, Toddville, by Rev. Mark Adams. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Mark Lofquist; children, Nathan (Brandie) Hart of New Richmond, WI, Sarah Hart of Phoenix, AZ, and Adam Hart of Maple Grove, MN; two grandchildren, Evan and Josie Hart; siblings, Dr. John Breznik, Theresa (David) Drexler, Robert Breznik, Frank Breznik Jr., and Rhonda (Jan) McDougle; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Deb was born December 4, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Lee) Breznik. She grew up and graduated high school in Chisholm, MN. Deb married Rev. Mark Lofquist on September 19, 1981, in Afton, MN. She worked at many different financial institutions throughout the Midwest and later partnered with her husband, serving churches in Holton and Big Rapids, MI, and Toddville, IA. She was an exceptional cook, loved her time in the garden, and enjoyed sewing crafts. Deb especially loved children and took great pride in Children’s Ministry. She loved the Lord and loved telling His story.
