She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. Harlan W. Cook.
Deanna was born March 31, 1943, in Troy Mills, Iowa, daughter of Harlan and Norma (Cahill) Cook. She preferred staying at home and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, gardening, crappie fishing and going on pontoon rides. Deanna loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the bible very much. She was a registered nurse for 35 years, most of that time she was employed at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, where the patients dearly loved her.
Deanna’s family meant more to her than anything in the world and even in the end was more concerned about them than herself. She was the best wife and mother that anyone could ever ask for. We thank God for her loving care, as she was always there to take care of anyone in need.
We are truly blessed to have had such an angel on earth. She will be missed like no other and by so many.
