Dean D. Dundee Sr., 73, of Marion, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Chaplain Jeremy Hudson. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; his son, Dean (Angie) Dundee Jr.; six step-children, Ken “Bear” (Deb) Stalkfleet, Susan (Tom) Moyle, Tony Stalkfleet, Tom Stalkfleet, Sandy (Lloyd) Henderson, and Debra K. Young (Boyd Strong); his sister, Dorothy Jones; twenty-one grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura; two step-children, Steven and Robert Stalkfleet; three brothers, Roland, Curtis, and Duane; and a sister, Betty.
Dean was born December 5, 1935, the son of John and Clara (Lawson) Dundee in Waukon. He married Laura Behrends on June 30, 1956 in Caledonia, Minnesota. She died March 17, 1999. Dean later married Sally Curtis on April 5, 2003. He worked for King Concrete for 36 years.
Dean enjoyed dancing, working, traveling, gambling, gardening, spending time with grandchildren, and puttering around the garage. He enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona with Sally.
