Dean Raymond Bond, 77, of Delaware died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Greg and Deanna’s home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Delaware by Rev. Donald Krause. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Manchester. Additional visitation: 1 hour before services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Delaware. Burial: Pine View Cemetery, Delaware.
Dean was born July 31, 1934 in Colesburg, IA, the son of Charles and Elsie (Woellert) Bond. On October 16, 1959, Dean was united in marriage to Greta Kay Meader at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Delaware. Dean was employed by Iowa Manufacturing, Inc. in Cedar Rapids for 34 years.
Dean is survived by his wife Greta Bond of Delaware; two children, Deanna (Greg) Glass of Marion and Harlan Bond of Delaware; four grandchildren, Kiel Schroeder, Kelsey Schroeder, Keagan Schroeder and Breanna Bond; in-laws, Carole Bond, Martha Bond, David (Phyllis) Meader, Douglas (Sue) Meader, Terry (Sophea) Meader, and Joanne (Dan) Alden and many nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elsie Bond; a son, Jason Andrew Bond in 1976; siblings, Gene Bond, Vinie (Bernard) Schnell, Florence (Robert) Carpenter, Arend Bond and mother and father-in-laws, Levi and Edna Meader.
