De Decker, 61, of Marion, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at his cabin in Delhi, following a heart attack. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include his children, Debbie (Kevin) Ryan of Marion, David (Marjean) Decker of Galena, Illinois, formerly of Marion, and Douglas A. Decker of Waubeek; six grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah and Maddy Ryan, and Brandon, Michael and Lindsey Decker; and several nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are three sisters, Cynthia Curran of Marion, Della (Roger) Riggins of Robins and Charity Madren of Marion; and a half brother, Bob (Linda) Hoskins of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
De was born November 6, 1942, the son of Arthur O. and Eleanor (Miller) Decker in Linn County. He graduated from Marion High School in 1960. De was a loving man who took great pride and enjoyment in his children, grandchildren and friends.
