David Paul Williams

David Paul Williams, 62, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 2 hours prior to service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his children, Shelene (Toran) Billups, Nathan (Callen) Williams and Samuel Williams; grandson, Christopher; brothers, Daniel, Dale and Darrin (Lora) Williams; nieces and nephews, Sara, Samantha, Benjamin and Erin. David will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jane.
David was born on February 25, 1954, son of Gerald and Jeanette (Leighty) Williams. He married Jane Hansen on May 11, 2005. David worked for Home Based Primary Care in Iowa City and was very proud of his lifetime of service with the VA. David was known for wood burning clocks, playing pool, golfing, bowling, watching drag races, and listening to music.
