David Harry Williams, 72, of Marion, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in his home. Private Family Inurnment: Murdoch-Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include a son, Douglas (Angela) Williams of Marion; and 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Mara.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris; his parents, and a brother, Bob Williams.
David was born July 18, 1938, the son of Ashley and Pearl (Okley) Williams, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Deloris Schirm on May 26, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died March 9, 2009. David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 – 1960 and worked as a prison guard for 27 years at the Anamosa Correctional Facility in Anamosa, Iowa.
