David J. Wall, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital, Friday, July 21, 2017. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
David was born November 3, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Leta (Blockinger) Wall. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970. In 1982, David married Kathy McAteer and he worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and was a musician and artist.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Brent (Francine) Wall and Shawn Wall, all of Cedar Rapids; grandchild, Layla Jean Kies of Vinton; and brothers, Dan (Janey) Wall and Doug (Robin) Wall, also all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
