David H. Rammelsberg, 57, of Palo, Iowa, died suddenly Friday, April 10, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in Cedar Rapids. Services: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Jay Jentink. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cathy; mother, Barbara of Palo; daughters, Brooke (Fred) Agan of Des Moines, Josie (Mark) Norton of Cedar Rapids and Kyla (Todd) Sergeant of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Jackson and Cooper Norton; brother, Gerald (Carol) Rammelsberg of Palo; sister, Carolyn (Jay) Quimby of Marion; and mother-in-law, Naomi Clark of Cedar Rapids.
David was preceded in death by his father.
Born September 24, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, David was the son of Vernon and Barbara (Miller) Rammelsberg. On March 17, 1973, he was united in marriage to Cathy Clark in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a truck driver and farmer.
David loved his grandchildren and his church family at Calvary Baptist Church. Other joys were farming, being outdoors, golfing, camping, bowling, fishing and Goodwill bargain hunting on Fridays with Cathy.
