David A. 'Shorty' Pratt

David A. “Shorty” Pratt, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
David was born January 26, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of David L. and Agnes (Groat) Pratt. He graduated from Wilson High School and worked for The Gazette in distribution. David honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his children, Tim (Terri) Pratt, Steve (Teresa) Pratt, and Elaine Haber; several grand and great-grandchildren; and sister, Chrysann Kempainen.
David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Agnes, and sister, Joy Isaak.
