David L. Norte, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away, Monday, January 28, 2019. Visitation: 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, Iowa, with additional visitation one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, United Methodist Church, Manchester. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville, Iowa.
David was born August 22, 1949, the son of Floyd and Burnadette (Thibadeau) Norte. David worked at Pizza Ranch for over 14 years and Old 20 Auctions. He volunteered regularly at Second Helpings, WOW, and Share the Harvest. He enjoyed staying busy, collecting pop cans and helping neighbors. David was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Joyvonne Chapman of Oneida; step-brother, Dennis (Julie) Thibadeau of Dubuque; and half-brothers, Richard Thibadeau and Larry Thibadeau.
David was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; brother, Floyd Jr.; half-brother, Bill Hartkemeyer; half-sister, Carol Mederale; and nephew, Larry Thibadeau, Jr.
