David L. Morgan, 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children, David Lloyd (Michelle) Morgan and Debbie (Jerry) Morgan; step children, Kevin (Natalie) Menadue, Christine Menadue and Chad (Kate) Pliester; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis.
Born September 21, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David was the son of Lloyd and Emma (Stepanek) Morgan. On November 6, 1980, he was united in marriage to Joyce Kennedy in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He was a security officer at St. Luke’s for 43 years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in David’s memory.
