David W. Mart, 60, of Knoxville, IA, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 23, 2006, in the Veteran?s Affairs Medical Center, Knoxville, following a long illness. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his mother; two sons, Lance Mart and Albert Mart both of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Virginia Anderson of Texas, Jackie Adams of Arkansas, Cyndee (Frank) Webster of South Carolina, Evelyn Parker of Cedar Rapids, Christine Darisse of Texas, and Judy (Mario) Cucchiarella of Florida; brothers, Jerry (Monica) Mart of Kansas, Tom Mart and Doug (Becky) Mart both of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Betty Wittenberg.
David was born August 21, 1945, the son of Ernie Mart and Enid (Reeves) Mart. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. David worked at 4 Oaks.
