David Lyle Hepker, 55, of Center Point, Iowa, died Saturday, December 16, 2006, in his home, following a sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Center Point United Methodist Church, Center Point, by the Rev. Mike Ellson. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, with military honors. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include his mother, Lois Rowe of Center Point; two brothers, Ronald Hepker and Steve (Tona) Hepker, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Connie (Vern Silver) of Central City; and five nephews, Richard, J.R., Ben, Jeffrey and Justin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle.
David was born July 1, 1951, the son of Lyle and Lois (Scott) Hepker, in Independence, Iowa. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David was employed by the Laborers Local 43.
Military honors will be conducted by the Dye Benion Legion Post 297.
