David E. Feiereisen, 94, of 1602 K. Street SW, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007, in his home, of an age related illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Naomi Stepanek and Pastor Kathy Moore. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Helen; a brother, Michael (Arlene) Feiereisen of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Kim of Georgia and Brenda (Kirk) Authier of Vinton; seven great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Mel and Sandy Fedler of Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Henry, Charles, George and Robert John; his sisters, Margaret Posphil, Ruth Puetz, Esther Gosnell and Doris Shaull; and his daughter, Nancy K. Regennitter

David was born January 12, 1913, the son of Charles and Ida Belle (O’Reagan) Feiereisen, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On April 22, 1949, he was united in marriage to Helen Speed White. David worked as an operating engineer with heavy equipment. He was a member of the Local 234 – Operating Engineers since 1945 and also the Bing Crosby Fan Club.
Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous or Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids in memory of David.
