David Leroy Dronebarger, 50, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Saturday, February 25, 2006, at his home in Jefferson City. Services: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, 520 Wilson Avenue, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Ron Lewis. The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, military honors.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Lyle and Linda Dronebarger of Portland, Oregon; his mother, Pat Clark of Cedar Rapids; his wife, Robin; a son, Brian Dronebarger with his companion, Annie Pantoja of Jefferson City, Missouri; two brothers, Duane Dronebarger of Cedar Rapids, and Rusty Dronebarger with his companion, Cathy Scott of Long Beach, WA; a stepbrother, Tim Dronebarger with his wife, Michelle of Portland, Oregon; and three sisters, Laura Viergever with her husband, Don of Topeka, Kansas, Kathy Philo with her husband, Bill of Emerado, North Dakota, and Dawn Emery with her fiancé, Al Whiteman of Cedar Rapids.
David was born September 30, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lyle and Pat Nichols Dronebarger. He was married September 24, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, to Robin Heywood. Their son, Brian David Dronebarger was born July 25, 1981, in Cedar Rapids. He was a forklift operator for Genco in Jefferson City. David served in the U. S. Marines during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5, Jefferson City, MO.
