Daryl Dean Zweigle

Daryl Dean Zweigle, 69, of Walker, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a cardiac event while riding his bicycle. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Daryl was born on December 24, 1953, in Harvey, North Dakota, the son of Chester and Beverly (Hoots) Zweigle. He was a 1973 graduate of Harvey High School and attended colleges. His first career was as a mechanical drafter at FMC in Cedar Rapids, then a machinist at Rockwell Goss until its closure. Daryl finished his career as a Radiologic Tech at Mercy Medical Center. On June 18, 1983, Daryl was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Williams at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Daryl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daryl is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Sharon; children, Cody (Ashlee) Zweigle of Cove, Oregon, Kyle Zweigle of Marion, Illinois, and Leah (Rob) Zweigle of Independence, Iowa; grandchildren, Jade Eisele and Daniel and Vincent Gates; siblings, Margo (Jerry) Spear of Drake, North Dakota and Myron Zweigle of Martin, North Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Ardyce and her husband Daryl Snyder.
