Daryl Robert Munsell, 83, of Marion, died in his home, Sunday, June 14, 2009. Private Family Service: 1.30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Jack Kendall. Private Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Patricia; his daughter, Vickie (Virgil, Jr.) Rawson of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Debra (Brian) Clark and Scott Rawson of Cedar Rapids; and three great-grandchildren, Britteny, Darren and Kevin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Orwin Munsell.
Robert was born March 1, 1926, the son of Marvin and Mabel (Peters) Munsell, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On September 21, 1949, he was united in marriage to Patricia Tvrdik. Robert worked at E & F Construction and then worked in the Engineering Department for the City of Cedar Rapids, retiring after 25 years of service.
