Daryl D. Harger

Daryl D. Harger, 49, of Knoxville, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, following a long illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Daryl is survived by three sisters, Violet Grover of Altoona, Iowa, Aletha Simmons and Betty Jones of Cedar Rapids; a brother, David Cook of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Daryl was born March 13, 1955, in Iowa City, the son of Arliss and Joyce (Griffioen) Harger. He was a member of the Pleasantville Baptist Church in Pleasantville, Iowa. Daryl was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed sports and animals.
A memorial fund has been established in Daryl?s memory and may be sent to his sister, Violet Grover, 507 1st St. East, Altoona, Iowa 50009.
