Darren J. Bartha, 19, of Ryan, Iowa, formerly of East Windsor, New Jersey, died Monday morning, December 5, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident near Manchester.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Monday, December 12, 2005, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Ryan, Iowa, with Rev. Msgr. Ralph Simington officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, where there will be a 4:00 pm Scripture Service. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Manchester.
Darren was born on December 24, 1985 in Staten Island, New York, the son of Joseph B. & Rose Marian (Holl) Bartha. He attended Hightstown High School in Hightstown, New Jersey and currently was a senior at West Delaware High School in Manchester.
Darren was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan. He enjoyed downhill bike racing, race cars, high-end cars, and NASCAR racing. Darren loved music and was working to gain employment as a Club D.J.
Darren is survived by his mother, Rose Bartha, a sister, Christina Bartha, and maternal grandparents, Joseph & Marian Holl, all of Ryan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Darren was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bartha, and his paternal grandparents.
The Darren J. Bartha Memorial fund has been established.
