Darlyce Rae Baily 65, of rural Central City and Springville, went to be with her Savior, Friday, June 3, 2005, in St. Luke?s Hospital, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Jordan?s Grove Church, rural Central City, by the Rev. Steve Russell. Burial: Jordan?s Grove Cemetery in rural Central City. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; two sons, Eugene (Brenda) Baily of Springville and Curtis Baily of Central City; two daughters, Marcia (Russ) Hughes of Springville and Brenda (Brad) VanHorn of Sheffield; brothers and sisters Maurice Port (Carolyn), Verlee (Jerry) Hiner, Jeff Port and Mark Port, Linda (Bill) Ham, Marilyn Carpenter (Bob), and Jackie (Rex) Bonebrake.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Megan, Mitchell, Ryan, Aaron, Hollyann, Melanie and Jonah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Darlyce was born the daughter of Loren and Romona (Moyer) Port on October 13, 1939, on the family farm in Linn County. On August 1, 1958, in Springville United Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Edward Baily.
