Darlene Marie Carpenter

Darlene Marie Carpenter, 80, of Earlville, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015 at Earlville United Parish. Family will greet friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church on Monday. A light meal and time of fellowship will follow the service. Burial will be at a later date.
Darlene was born August 24, 1934 in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Monk) Brockhohn. On November 3, 1954, she married Floyd L. Carpenter at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church in rural Monticello. Together they worked their family dairy farm until moving to Earlville in 1995.
Darlene is survived by her children, Penny (David) Minnihan, and Donald Carpenter; and four step-children.
Darlene was preceded in death by husband, Floyd; her parents; and special friend, Cecil Chapman.
