Danny Ray Keppler
July 25, 1948 — October 24, 2006
Danny Ray Keppler, 58, of Iowa City, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del Bear. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion at a later date.
Survivors include a sister, Linda (Stan) Menken of Central City; nieces and a nephew; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many friends; and his dog, Gus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven.
Danny was born July 25, 1948, the son of Cecil and Doris (Danford) Keppler in Manchester. He served with the U.S. Army. Danny worked at the VA Hospital in Iowa City for twenty-five years. He enjoyed woodworking.
A memorial fund has been established in Danny?s memory.
