Daniel Dean Dorrance, 22, of 1545 Aber Ave., Iowa City, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, as a result of injuries from a car accident. Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2005, at Roeders Funeral Home, 4932 Ames Ave, Omaha, Nebraska. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Burial: Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Dorrance of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Frankie Dorrance of Iowa City; a nephew, Christian Mule; a niece, Shalacie Dorrance; his Grandfather, Elvyn Brooner of Omaha; his stepmother, Vickie Schewe of Omaha; his Big Brother and Big Sister, Gary and Marcy Wolf of Iowa City; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Dorrance; a brother, Clifton Dorrance; and his grandparents.
Daniel was born August 8, 1983, the son of Frank and Barbara (Brooner) Dorrance, in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Daniel loved to fish and spend time with his nephew and niece.
