Dale Aaron Perry, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 14, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a long illness. Memorial Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, at Kenwood Park United Methodist Church, 302 33rd St. NE, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Laura Smith and Rev. Dave Higdon. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Cedar Rapids; four children, Ann K. (Dick) Perry-Grimm of Ankeny, Patricia L. (Richard) Worsfold of Cedar Rapids, D. Aaron Perry of Cedar Rapids and Peggi S. (Travis) Knight of Ames; six brothers, Murvin (Rita) Perry of Johnson City, Tennessee, Lyle (Peggy) Perry of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Wayne (Beverly) Perry of Downers Grove, Illinois, Loran (Carol) Perry, Robert (Lola) Perry, and Ron (Margaret) Perry, all of Brookings, South Dakota; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Bonnie Perry, Donna Perry and Doris Stroshein.
Dale was born December 30, 1926, the son of Earl H. and Lorraine P. (Eichel) Perry, in Bruce, South Dakota. He graduated from Bruce High School in 1944. Dale served with the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1955. He received his electrical engineering degree from South Dakota State in 1953. On August 27, 1957, he married Thelma R. Loeck in Indepenence, Iowa. Dale retired as an Electrical Engineer from Iowa Electric after thirty-three years.
