Dale “Red” McKern, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, September 18, 2014, at his home. Services: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 19, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his friend and caretaker, Deb Klein and family of Cedar Rapids; and his dog, Jake.
Red was born May 4, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa. He worked with the streets department for the City of Marion. Red was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Group, Freedom Trikers and PAC & ADA.
Red enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Trikes and Old Classic Cars. He also enjoyed watching car races and WWE Wrestling.
