Dale Attwood, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Walker, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Walker United Methodist Church, Walker, Iowa. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker, Iowa.
Dale is survived by his sisters, Beverly (Edwin) McVay of Center Point Urbana, Iowa, and Emma Marie Adams of Nauvoo, Illinois; life time friend and “brother”, Bob Niemeier of Walker, Iowa; “nephew”, Stan (Deana) Niemeier of Walker, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jennie (Whitson) Attwood; three brothers, Leonard “Red” Henderson, Ray Attwood, and Tommy Attwood; and a brother-in-law, Dan Adams.
Dale was born December 9, 1944, in Walker, Iowa, son of George and Jennie Attwood. Farming was his life.
A memorial fund has been established in Dale’s memory.
