Curtis James Holub

Curtis James Holub, 61, of Coggon, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Central City, Iowa. Graveside service will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Coggon.
Curtis was born on July 29, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Gene and Zona (Walton) Holub. He was a 1979 graduate of North Linn High School and went on to graduate with a Business Administration Degree from Mount Mercy College. Curtis worked at Quaker Oats for over 20 years. He loved his motorcycle and houseboat at Ellis. He had a love for his niece, nephews, and dogs. Curtis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Curtis is survived and lovingly remembered by his brother, Val (Kerri) Holub of Williamsburg, Iowa; and their children, Jacob, Joshua and Jillian Holub; brother, Gordon Holub of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two aunts, Cheryl (Randy) Hagerman of Central City, and Karen (Richie) Vanourney of Central City; and uncle, Gary Holub of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
