Creda Mae Unertl, 74, a long time resident of Alburnett, died Saturday, December 25, 2004, at her home, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Marty Schuhmacher. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Sue) Unertl of Mt. Vernon, Sandy (Scott) Hamann of Fredricksburg, Frank (Abby) Unertl of Manchester, Charles (Diane) Unertl of Coggon and Keith (Kim) Etzel of Marion; eleven grandchildren, Kimberlee Sia, Carrie McWherter, Sarah Unertl, Molly Unertl, Angela Murphy, Megan Unertl, Katie Unertl, Alissa Unertl, Austin Unertl, Lori Luft and Lisa Ferguson; and seven great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Seth, and Phoebe McWherter, Ashley Hawley, Matthew Rich and Dustin and Delaney Ferguson.

Also surviving are four sisters, Pearl Ferlaski of Missouri, Louise Farmer of Missouri, Lurlene David of Monona and June Gray of Missouri; a brother, Bill Mitts of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Deborah Lea Unertl and Cheryl Unertl; and a brother, Stan Mitts.

Creda was born February 13, 1930, the daughter of Stanley and Lucy Mae (Bourquoin) Mitts in Rich Hill, Missouri. She worked for many years as a cook at Mahoney's in Alburnett.
