Craig “Xman” Ekstrom, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Buffalo Cemetery in Hiawatha, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Craig was born March 14, 1959, in California, the son of JoDee (King) and Gerald Ekstrom. He graduated from Anamosa High School. Craig worked as a forklift operator for Worley Warehousing in Cedar Rapids and GSTC Logistics Inc in Walford, Iowa. Craig was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, golfing, and fishing. Craig took pride in his beautifully landscaped yard.
Survivors include his significant other, Judy Jarvis; son, Colton Valenta (fiancée, Shelby Williams); siblings, Mark (Paula) Ekstrom, Terri Jo Erickson, and Doug (Kathy) Ekstrom; nieces and nephews, Brooke (Jeff) Boetticher, Tracy (Will) Adam, Angie (Cody) Berhow, Kristie (Nick) Hawkins, Casey Ekstrom, and Kelli Jo (Chris) Johnson; great-nieces and nephews, Metz and Henry Boetticher, Aria Jo Ekstrom, Mila Johnson, Carter and Brady Shinn, Haylie, Hudson, and Harvey Hawkins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; brother-in-law, Larry Erickson; and several aunts and uncles.
