Cory M. Cichoski (Fickel)

Cory M. Fickel Cichoski, 37, of 5820 Langdon Avenue S.W. went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial Mass: 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, where a vigil service will be at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment: St. John?s Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons, Joshua J. Cichoski and Nathaniel S. Cichoski; her father, Steven E. Fickel and her mother, JoAnne M. Fickel, both of Cedar Rapids; a grandfather, Jack Weldon of Cedar Rapids; a grandmother, Helen Ruth Fickel of Iowa City; a brother, Bryan (Stephanie) Fickel and a sister, Jaimee N. Fickel, all of Idaho.
Cory was preceded in death by a grandmother, Julie Weldon; a grandfather, L.W. Fickel; and her favorite aunt, Marge Luense.
Cory was born the daughter of Steven E. and JoAnne M. (Weldon) Fickel on December 29, 1968, in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to James W. Cichoski on April 8, 1988, in Iowa City. Cory graduated from LaSalle High School in 1987. She was employed at Pratt Audio Visual for several years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
Cory was very strong in spirit and touched many lives. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cory?s memory.
