Corey Dean Sutton, 19, of 5645 Briarwood Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, February 14, 2004, in his home. Services: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Dan Clark-Bridge of Hope Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at the funeral home. Burial: St. John?s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Marilyn Sutton; two sisters, Jennifer Sutton of Akron, Ohio and Crystal Sutton of Cedar Rapids; his grandparents, Donald and Merle Geiger of Cedar Rapids and Leroy and Joan Sutton of Warrenton, Missouri; a great-grandfather, Virgil Fritz, Sr. of Cedar Rapids; a great-grandmother, Annie Peihl of Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tanya Geiger.
Corey was born September 4, 1984, the son of Mark and Marilyn (Geiger) Sutton, in Troy, Missouri. He loved music, especially when playing his guitar. He also enjoyed and loved his dog, Little Joe. Corey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Corey.
