Connie Albert

Connie Albert, 83, of Marion, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Bickford Senior Living, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, Marion, conducted by Reverend Mike Morgan. Committal service for immediate family will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, following the service.
Connie was born January 1, 1935, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Milo and Bertha (Watson) Cottrell. She graduated from Vinton High School in 1953. On June 6, 1954, Connie was united in marriage to Ned Albert in Vinton. She enjoyed traveling, time at Lake Delhi with family, and loved time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ned; children, Gregg (Edy) Albert, Shawn (Jeff) Bouslog, Scott (Lila) Albert, David (Chele) Albert, and Michael (Sara) Albert; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association in Connie’s memory.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Bickford and Care Initiative Hospice for the care given to Connie.
