Clifford was born September 18, 1930, on the family farm in rural Jones County, Iowa, one of seven children to Carl and Clara (Gross) Ketelsen. He was a 1948 graduate of Anamosa High School. Clifford served honorably in the United States Navy, before and during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Allene “Corinnie” Joyce Floyd on March 15, 1953, in Center Point, Iowa. Clifford worked for twenty-five years with Swift & Company and also in real estate. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, bowling, and golfing, making two hole-in-ones. Clifford was a faithful Iowa Hawkeyes and Northern Iowa Panthers fan. His greatest joy was his family. Clifford made a point to attend as many of their activities as possible. Family always came first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
