Clifford Lee Adcock, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, in the Fellowship Hall of First Lutheran Church located at 313 E. Fayette Street in Manchester.
Clifford was born May 31, 1942, the son of Joseph and Ora Mabel (Humphrey) Adcock. He graduated from Nebraska City High School. On February 2, 1964, Clifford was united in marriage to Alice Mae Willms. Clifford helped with the formation of the ambulance service at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. He worked in various positions at the Delaware County Memorial Hospital then Regional Medical Center, retiring after almost 47 years. Clifford enjoyed spending time with his family and the Regional Medical Center family.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Alice Adcock of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Chris Adcock of Cedar Rapids and Diana (Mike) Kruger of Waterloo, Iowa; three grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, and Daniel; and four brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and they will designate later to a variety of charities that were close to Cliff’s heart.
