Clark D. Larsen

Clark D. Larsen, 87, of Grimes, formerly of Marion, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Marion American Legion Post #298, Marion. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
Clark is survived by his children, Richard (Angela) Larsen, Lisa (Mark) Cracraft, Sheila Hepker and Terri Larsen; grandchildren, Tyler, Ashton, and Sydney Cracraft and Matthew Hepker; and brother, Dwight Larsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Jane.
Clark was born February 19, 1930, in Jamestown, North Dakota, the son of Donald and Ardell (Smiley) Larsen. On June 15, 1954, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Matthew. Mary Jane passed away on July 14, 2010. Clark was honored to serve his country as a member of the United States Air Force as a machinist, retiring after 20 years. During his years of service he saw it as a great opportunity to travel the world with his family. Clark was a member of the American Legion Post #298 in Marion.
