Clarence C. Cameron, 97, of the Hiawatha Care Center, formerly of Center Point, died Monday, June 12, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Alice United Methodist Church, Center Point, by Rev. Leo Andersen and Rev. Jill Michel. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills, IA.
Survivors include two sons, Duane (Jean) Cameron of Council Bluffs, IA and Douglas
Cameron of Marion; a daughter, Marlys (Dean) Raddatz of Troy Mills, IA; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Cameron of Marion; twelve grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Cameron of Troy Mills, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura; his parents; a son, C. Delmar Cameron; two brothers, Elmer Cameron and Arthur Cameron; and a sister, Louise Allen.
Clarence was born November 25, 1908, in Cedar County Iowa, the son of Donald and Maggie (Albaugh) Cameron. He graduated from Walker High School and farmed for 57 years. On June 2, 1928 he married Laura McAtee in Albert Lea, MN. She died January 7, 2005. Clarence was a member of the Alice United Methodist Church.
