Clare “Bud” Luverne Fowler, 93, of Rushford, MN, formerly of Coggon, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Home in Rushford. Visitation: 11-12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City, IA. Private Family Graveside Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, at Coggon Cemetery, Coggon, IA.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Fowler of Springfield, MO, and Doug Fowler of Rushford, MN; one sister, Pearl Franzen of Guttenburg, IA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife.
Clare was born March 22, 1916, the son of William H. and Jane (Burkholder) Fowler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Clare married Doris Fleshman on April 3, 1939. Doris died April 28, 1993.
