Christopher H. McCallum, 79, of 1837 8th Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, January 31, 2010. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Jason Poling. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2010, at the funeral home. Entombment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Denise (Franklin) Glubka of Cedar Rapids and Christopher (Joelle) McCallum of Yankton, South Dakota; grandchildren, Mandi (Jason) Holden of Byron, Minnesota and Tracy Glubka of Cedar Rapids; great grandchildren, Maeva and Makayla; brothers, Curtis, Calvin, Clark and Jan; and sister, CharlotteTennis.
Christopher was preceded in death by his wife, Immogene; parents; and brother, Clark.
Born March 24, 1930, in Edgewood, Iowa, Christopher was the son of Christopher and Maxine (Baker) McCallum. On October 27, 1956, in Greeley, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Immogene Hildebrand. She died March 4, 2009.
For 20 years Christopher worked for FMC and then Aegon for 7 years.
Some of Christopher’s joys were boating, fishing hunting, golfing and spending time at his cabin in Guttenberg.
