Christopher Allen Clark, 30, born September 6, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, drowned while jet skiing at the roller dam in the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, 520 Wilson Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids. A memory service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the funeral home. He was taken from this world too soon. He was loved by all who knew him. He would go out of his way to help anyone. He even donated his hair to Locks of Love. He had a heart of gold.
Christopher is survived by his fiancé, BobbieJo McDanniell and her children, Jessica, Kayla and Austin and her parents, Robert and Doreen Evans; his father, Lester Clark; his mother, Karen Nissen and stepfather (Martin); his sister Angela (Gabriel) Casanave; brother, Billy (Jennifer) Clark; niece, Chloe; nephew, Jordan; step-brothers, Billy Evans, Jeff (Renee) Evans and Matthew Lint; step-sisters, Cindy Lint and Carol Lint; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Millard and Mildred Christianson; his extended family on both sides; and BobbieJo’s siblings, Sherri (Rob) Bleakley; Brenda Evans and Robby (Lindsey) Evans.
Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warren and Opal Clark.
Christopher was self-employed as a roofer. He enjoyed fishing and many outdoor activities.
We love him and will miss his sparkling eyes and cheerful smile. He will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
