Chester "Chet? J. Fink, 53, of Manchester, died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following an assumed cardiac problem.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Manchester by Rev, Msgr. Ralph Simington and Rev. John Kremer. Friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour before services Tuesday at the church. A prayer vigil will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
Chet was born August 21, 1952, the son of Chester H. and Vera (Verdon) Fink in Manchester. He graduated from West Delaware in 1970. On September 16, 1972, Chet and MaDonna Evers were united in marriage at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan. Chet worked as a bricklayer at Seedorff Masonry, Inc. for the past seventeen years. He also owned and operated C.J. Fink Construction.
Chet was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Manchester. He served on the Manchester Fire Department for fifteen years and was the chairman of Ducks Unlimited. Chet enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Chet is survived by his wife, Donna Fink of Manchester; three children, Mark Fink of Manchester, Sarah Fink of Tabor, IA and Holly Fink of Page, AZ; his mother, Vera Fink-Buehler of Manchester; one sister, Linda (John) Smith of Manchester; one brother, Dave (Vicki) Fink of Delhi; two sisters-in-law, Joan Strabala of Peoria, IL and Janice (Scott) Henrickson of Port Washington, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
Chet is preceded in death by his father, Chester H. Fink; step-father, Dale Buehler; in-laws, Leander & Irene (Schuster) Evers; and a brother-in-law, Martin Strabala.
