Cheryl M. Unertl, 38, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Alburnett, died Monday, March 10, 2003, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Marty Schuhmacher. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include her fiancé, Jim Frondle of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Creda Unertl of Alburnett; two brothers, Mike Unertl and wife Sue of Mt. Vernon and Frank Unertl and wife Abby of Manchester; a sister, Sandy Hamann and husband Scott of Lawler, Iowa; a half brother, Chuck Unertl and wife Diane of Alburnett; a half sister, Sandy Unertl of California; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Debbie.
Cheryl was born the daughter of Charles and Creda Mitts Unertl on January 16, 1965, in Dubuque. She was a dietician aide at Linn Manor Care Center.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cheryl?s memory.
