Cheree Stimson Cannon returned to God on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 69.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester by Rev. Richard Gaul. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm., Thursday, February 16, 2012. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Masonville.
Cheree was born July 12, 1942 in Manchester, the daughter of Charles and Eunese Stimson. Her life began in Manchester, where after time in California, she returned to graduate from Manchester High School and complete beauty school in Cedar Rapids.
On November 25, 1961, Cheree was united in marriage to James Cannon of Masonville. After losing their first born son, Michael, they moved to California and then on to Nevada where they were blessed with a second son, James J. Cannon. Cheree made dear, life-long friends while in California and Nevada. In 1996, she and Jim returned to Manchester, preparing to retire.
Cheree was an avid reader, loved to crotchet, and held her family and friends most dear. She will be missed by all.
Cheree is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Cannon of Manchester; a son, Jim J. (Debbie Johnson) Cannon of Manchester; her three adored grandchildren, Ashia Hayes of Reno, Nevada, Jami and Kori Cannon of Fall City, Washington; her sister, Candee (Chuck) Danner of Boise, Idaho; in-laws, Pat (Carol) Cannon, Jack (Jamie) Cannon, and Kay (Bill) Dolan and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cheree was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eunese Stimson and a son, Michael J. Cannon.
