Charlotte Irene Sixta

Charlotte Irene Sixta, 84, of 1200 Maplecrest Drive, Marion, died Friday, September 16, 2005, at ManorCare Health Services in Cedar Rapids, surrounded by the love of her daughter, son-in-law and one of her longtime friends. A Celebration of Life service, conducted by Rev. Mike Morgan, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2005, at First United Methodist Church, Marion. There will be no visitation. Private family burial service was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.

Survivors include her children, Judi (Rueben) Peppler of Ripon, Wisconsin, Carole (Blake) Ford of Ely, Iowa, and Robert (Helen Monsees) Sixta of Rochester, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Deb (Steve) Erickson, Doug (Susan) Peppler, Heather (John) Deal, Nick (Andrea) Bundy, Amy Ford and Joe Sixta; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; two sisters, Pauline and Berniece; and two brothers, Carlton and Jerry.

Charlotte contributed to her community as a nurse and loving friend to many. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church.

A comrade kind and our Lord

to help me onward with my load.

And since I have no gold to give

Love alone must make amend.

A prayer of mine, a life to live,

God make me worthy of my friends."

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, direct memorials in Charlotte's memory to First United Methodist Church in Marin or El Kahir Shine in Cedar Rapids.
