Charles Anthony “Tony” Clark, 45, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, in his home, following a sudden illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; his children, Daniel, Jake and Lindsey; four grandchildren, Daniel and Braylon Freese and their mother Katie, Danika Kirchner and Alexis Freese; his mother, Janice Clark of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Ty Clark, Tom (Crystal) Clark, all of Cedar Rapids, Tim (Barb) Clark, Dan (Lori) Clark, all of Fairfax, Don Clark, Connie (Dirk) Preuss and Kim (Tim) Polton, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Freese of Cedar Rapids; father-in-law, Jim (Ruth) Freese of Springville; brother-in-law, Bryan Freese of Cedar Rapids; and sister-in-law, Sherry Seegmiller of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny.
Tony was born May 28, 1965, the son of Danny and Janice (Phillips) Clark, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A 1983 graduate of Prairie High School, he married Rebecca Freese on October 25, 1996. Tony worked as a millwright with UNICCO.
Tony enjoyed fishing, camping with friends, especially Doug Farley, and hanging out at Scotty’s with his buddies. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and dirt bikes with his son, Jake and nephews, Jesse and Justin and searching for “treasures”, especially arrowheads. Tony’s greatest love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Tony.
